Song I am listening to on loop - "A Song for our Fathers" by Explosions in the Sky
Is it possible for a song to contain medicinal properties? I am feeling calm and at ease. Like a flat piece of wood drifting slowly down a creek, a silent and calming journey. I can feel the kisses little droplets of water give me, the warm hug from the sun. Night time falls upon me and the little stars come out to play, winking at me one by one. A distant gush is heard in the distance and I close my eyes as the waters guide me down their fall. Parts of me break off due to the sharp rocks underneath, but as segments of myself float away, it is okay, for now I am able to explore more parts of the world at the same time.
Until then.
xx
Hmm .. complicated indeed. How often have you spoken to this lad? Sounds like you've got the "damned if you do and damned if you don't" quandary going on. What are your commonalities? What interactions have you had so far? And what is it you think you need to know in order for things to move further along? (please stop me if I am being too nosy!) Well, you could seek a Shaun Hume for your life, indeed, but I'm afraid there are but only one of those on this fair earth:P
ReplyDeleteSounds like stalker to me:) But seriously, if you see him again you should say hey. Easier said than done. But I like to follow the "if you never go you'll never know" school of thought. After all, if you don't, and he stays just an "idea", what good will that idea be to you? You can't get unconditionally loved by an idea. But be careful! Make sure you say g'day in a public place:)
ReplyDeleteSleep well and dream of the perfect introduction to mr coincidence. You smile and he smiles back, you get on the same train and sit next to each other. You talk for so long and so invigoratingly that you both miss your stop. Laughing, you both change and head back towards your intended destinations. He gets up to leave first, glancing back at you to produce one more handsome smile as farewell. You reciprocate, and the guy walks strait into the closing train door and knocks himself out. Your perfect match:P
ReplyDeleteSleep well, fair lady, and I hope that in the morning, all your dreams come true. Nighty night.
Perfect. I can make you dream. Now all I need to do is get INTO your dreams and then I will have accomplished every mans greatest goal:P And you never know, it just could be as easy as that - but yes, some balls may be needed. Figuratively of course, don't do yourself an injury:P
ReplyDeleteNot a goal of many to get into your dreams? I think you'd be surprised;) Stalker. Could be right:P Ow, sounds lovely. Mind you, tiramisu has been one of my least favourite cakes (if you could believe I didn't like any. I think it's the coffee). Had a nice caramel and chocolate tart myself:D Things are okay, thanks, still looking into moving back to Europe, looking more and more likely. Hows You? Things alright with the olds at the moment?
ReplyDeletehaha! I've only met one other girl before that is as funny as you, but you're funnier just over blog comments, so no doubt in person you would blow her out of the water! Let's just say you like cake and leave it with that:)
ReplyDeleteYou're too sweet:) I know what you mean, at least we're on the same time zone now (yes, I'm in sunny Queensland at present:D) And oh my lord with pleasure! As you may have guessed, I've walked almost every street in London, and although I haven't always lived there, I won't be far. It would be my pleasure to make a special trip in and take you on a little walking tour, up Piccadilly and many other emotive nooks and crannies, or which LDN has MANY:D
I hope you do, I still struggle some times myself, part of my reasoning for living half away around the world:P
I let the grammar slide. But again with the blushing! :) Anywhere you want to go, you shall:)
ReplyDeleteDon't they have Thorntons here!?!? Tis good, I agree. Ah! I don't think I've asked if you're an ice cream girl? It's in the same category as cake for me:D Oxford street Thorntons, 3 quid for 3 scoops! HEAVEN! And the sweets!? You'll be on such a sugar high after I've finished with you, you'll be trying to race a black cab!
So good, i agree, the warmth rises from the ground, main thing I miss when I'm away from AUS.
And about the parents I agree, I think about it every day, how I will NOT be parenting like. I can't wait really:)
Oh my goodness gerald! Have you had Ben and Jerry's? Single biggest bummer about AUS, no B&J's! It is THE BEST! Cookie Dough and Phish Food! OH ... I shouldn't do this to myself ... feeling faint!:P (And I love mango! So good!) Oh strewth yeah, you've got LOADS of time, don't worry about that. And spot on, appreciating what we have, even I forget to do that some times. And what a dream, sounds good to me. I would never be so happy to see a tiny white coat in all my time:D Sleep Well:)
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely, most definitely possible.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I would do if it wasn't!
and lol @ Shaun.
I am laughing, but not sure exactly why. (I think because he has the whole 'you go girlfriend' vibe going on) :P
