White

Yes yes, I may have cheated a bit because white is known more as a shade rather than a colour...but shades should be able to get their own say, no?

A couple consists of a duo. A duo consists of two. Do the two always have to balance out? Do the two have to match in order to 'match'? There are pairs that create perfection. There are pairs that bring out the worst in each other. Although they are still happy, is it healthy for the relationship? Not only to them, but for all those around them? A person's love may turn into another's hate. Two contrasting things. Does that make the balance? After all; with night, comes day. With hot, comes cold. Do the terms 'right' and 'wrong' become included in this situation as well? A person may change over the influence of another. Individually, they may be harmless. Friendly. Bearable. Together, they may double up in those qualities, or become absolutely chaotic. It is with chaos, that things begin to fall.

'London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down.
London bridge is falling down, my fair lady.'

So tell me. Is it because the person who created this little famous nursery rhyme met a woman that caused chaos to strike London bridge? One can only wonder at such a thought.

Until then.

  1. If only ... good to hear your out of one frying pan, but in to the fire?

And opposites attract right? I don't think it's as simple as that. It's just people attract to other people, no one really knows why ... it's a mystery.

As to the rhyme? My theory is that it was written like a typical British sceptic. When the bridge was being built many didn't think it could be done. A commonality of British class society, they like to run things and ideas down.

  2. And the strangest of all is how the right people so often fall for the wrong ones, leaving all of the other right ones littering the path. Indeed it is, you have to earn your stripes over there for sure:)
And as to fires, I've never known any not to be hot. For you, I hope, it reaches no more than a fleeting spark.

  3. To me, wandering forever and a day will still fail to remove you from a world that is chaotic. And sanity is often in short supply along the way. Or maybe it's just me?

  5. Indeed it does. Need I say more. Thats sucks being off the net, but good to hear al else is well. Guess we're all a little too dependant on it these days. 15 years ago I didn't even know what it was, and nor did most people.
Leaving things to the last minute huh? Funny you should say, I do that too, and almost always did through school too! But I think it's a good thing, enables you to make the most out of every skerrick of time before the finished product has to be presented as so. And yes, it's rather a connected world these days, I'm sure we'll find a way;)
I've been alright, a little tense, but it will pass in time, just doesn't really lend its self to writing, but it will be sorted soon.
And for future reference, it's 12US. I dare say none of yours would fit :)

  6. I have heard from a few people that Eden is beautiful, I do plan to swing by for a visit some time! :)

Now, as to the question of London Bridge, I do beleive it was made after the London bridge was pulled down by the Norwegian prince Olaf in 1014, as he was aiding King Aethelred in what was a successful bid to divide the defending forces of the Danes who held the walled City of London plus Southwark, thereby regaining London for the Anglo-Saxon king. There, my bit of history for the day! haha
